Responsible for the operations of the HR Department which the JCAHO survey (October, 2003 and June, 2006 – unannounced) found to be in complete compliance with all standards, receiving full accreditation.
Responsible for HR Operations and JCAHO survey paradigms, including orientation, staff development, license/certification verification, and Competence maintenance and development, which are recognized nationally and were reported in the Healthcare Competency Credentialing Report.
The Volunteer Department was developed into one of the largest in the country through a training program associated with the NYC Department of Education. Our mentoring program continues to encourage young men and women to achieve degrees in nursing and medicine, many of whom return to the hospital to practice.
Developed a tracking process to assist at risk employees through the analysis of departmental data, including absenteeism, supervisory weekly performance reports, alignment with quarterly performance evaluations and interdepartmental data fro staff training and development concerning remedial assistance. This has reduced our at-risk pool of employees by 80%.
Member of the hospital wide research committee responsible for reviewing and interpreting research proposals and all ethical requirements concerning human subject trials.
Member of the executive committee responsible for strategic planning and the implementation of long and short term goals.

Responsible for a $150 Million budget with 500 staff, serving 1700 Community Based Organizations providing localized support programs to young people, senior citizens and immigrants to all the Community Boards in the City.
Responsible for the largest employment of youth in New York City.
Responsible for the largest immigration programs for citizenship in the nation.
Responsible for providing the largest literacy program and after school program in New York State.
Developed strategies and responsibilities for community based organizations to response to disasters and the creation of neighborhood stabilization as part of the 9/11 rebuilding plan.

Responsible for a $12 Billion budget, 1100 School buildings,
100,000 staff and 1 million students.
Responsible for the hiring of two Chancellors.
Responsible for policy in establishing New Governance and management overhaul of the educational system, including greater accountability for student performances at the school level.
Responsible for policies which included converting School Safety to the authority of the NYPD for improved accountability, bilingual Education Reform, Special Education Reform and Higher Standards, including greater use of Regent Examinations as well as restoring an Arts Curriculum in all of the schools.
